The ITC Analyst (US) will work alongside other IT continuity specialists to provide advisory and consultancy services to the divisions in order to improve their IT continuity readiness and minimize the impact of any threat to their business. This role holder will work with the IT continuity specialists to provide divisional IT Continuity support. They will work closely with the divisions, whilst developing and maintaining relationships and providing IT Continuity advice and guidance in line with Business Continuity policy. The ITC Analyst will perform risk assessments of IT Continuity requirements. The role holder will assist in developing and implementing solutions for divisions to reduce and close IT Continuity gaps between risk appetite and current risk position. The role holder will support the identification and management of IT Continuity risks. They will be a key member of IT Continuity team and will be involved in Threat Management Groups and Business Continuity incidents relevant to their respective division.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with divisions in order to identify issues and drive IT Continuity compliance.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of divisional systems and processes in order to provide fit for purpose IT Continuity solutions.
  • Support the Identification of current risk position for divisions and potential exposures and drive actions to address or mitigate IT Continuity risk
  • Quality assurance for Exceptions to Policy’s presented for approval to confirm risk statement and assess action plan adequately addresses the risk.
  • Support maintaining detailed technical knowledge of IT Continuity practices and support in implementing these across the group.
  • Perform IT Continuity risk assessments or provide input to support major change programmes
  • Engage with business projects to identify IT Continuity weaknesses in proposals and develop appropriate solutions based on risk assessment
  • Escalate where appropriate any failures to comply with Business Continuity standards.
  • Provide policy advice and guidance to business divisions
  • Support the production of high quality, informative and accurate management information for the division
  • Provide input to IT Continuity briefings and Threat Management Groups
  • Provide incident and investigations support as required.
  • Short term project responsibilities for small project teams, including external service providers
  • Actively manage risks in accordance with the clients Risk framework
  • In particular, ensure risks are properly evaluated, recorded and mitigating action plans are monitored to completion
  • Ensure escalation of risk issues to a higher level of management for information or decision as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (5 years) highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years DR expertise in a financial environment.
  • CBCP or CDRP required
  • Experience of IT Systems development and / or IT systems operations, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Analysis and presentation of complex data
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Note taking, assigning and driving actions

Data center experience required

  • Developing knowledge in Business Continuity risk assessment
  • Developing Business Continuity knowledge
  • Experience of a Security and Risk function

Responsibilities                 :
Business Continuity Analyst, Americas will work alongside the Business Continuity team to provide support and services to the analysis required in order to provide feedback to business lines to improve their Business Continuity readiness and minimize the impact of any threat to their business.
This role holder will work with other members of the Business Continuity office to provide divisional Business Continuity support. They will work closely with the Business Continuity Coordinators within the business lines, whilst developing and maintaining relationships and providing Business continuity advice and guidance in line with Business Continuity policy. The BC Analyst, Americas will perform assessments of internal and external Business Continuity plans and readiness.
The role holder will assist in developing solutions for business lines to reduce and close Business Continuity gaps between risk appetite and current risk position.  The role holder will support the identification and management of Business Continuity risks.  They will be a contributing member of the Americas Business Continuity team and will be available for support for Business Continuity incidents as the need arises.
•Participate in initiatives such as Workplace Workouts and Continuous Improvement.
