BCP & Crisis Management Specialist

Liberty Mutual is currently seeking an experienced business continuity and crisis management professional. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day to day business disruptions of operations for all owned and leased facilities throughout the US. You will escalate those incidents to Corporate Emergency Response Team (CERT) Incident Commander when necessary. Working with site Office Operations Managers, this job will enable you to administer procedures for proper reaction to business disruptions that threaten company personnel, tenants, property and/or reputation while minimizing the impact of these local situations. You will also gain experience acting as Alternate Incident Commander for CERT events and implement the Corporate BC Program Strategy to our Business Units and Corporate Departments.

Responsibilities:
- Anticipate, identify, asses and report on the probability and/or severity of events or circumstances which may interrupt normal business operations.
- Assess emergency situations and recommend appropriate responses. Coordinate the activities and serve as a permanent member of the Corporate Emergency Response Team.
- Conduct Analysis and recommend enterprise-wide business continuity and contingency planning strategies to support Company business objectives and comply with external laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other risk management operations, corporate departments, strategic business units, and subsidiaries on research, policy and development and implementation initiatives as needed or assigned.
- Monitor the domestic business continuity planning needs of the Business Units and subsidiaries and develop programs and training services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, business management or information systems technology. Plus 7-10 years of related experience, or equivalent, significant consulting, and/or planning experience is preferred.
- Strong project management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills and excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with varying organizational levels.
- Must have a broad knowledge of disaster recovery/business contingency planning concepts, strategies and methodologies.
- The Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and/or equivalent designations are preferred.
